SPEARFISHING

 with Bente Dorte

Croatia has a very long tradition of spear fishing. Every Adriatic island, especially the ones which are further away from the coast, are very good for spear fishing. The less people living on the island, the more fish there is in the sea. The underwater relief of Croatian islands offers various types of bottom profiles, and underwater visibility is also very good.

The whole Adriatic is open for fishing, but special restrictions apply in the waters of national parks (Kornati, Brijuni, Krka, and Mljet) and some smaller sites.

There is no spear fishing with bottled oxygen, there is no night spear fishing, and you must have a signal on the surface at all times. Terms for quantity that you can catch: 5 kg + one capital specimen at most.

We can offer guided spear fishing tours, where you sail to some of the best spear fishing areas in the Northern Adriatic. You come on board, sail to places only known to locals, dive and in the evening we will enjoy the results of your fishing expedition!
