GEAR LIST AND INFORMATIONThank you for your interest in a holiday with us aboard Bente Dorte. Traditional sailing on Bente Dorte requires no advanced gear. We hope the following will be of help when packing. Please note that personal stowage space is limited.
- We supply duvets and covers at no extra charge. If you prefer bringing a sleeping bag please let us know
- Bring your own wet weather gear if you want your own. If you don't have any let us know and we may be able to arrange it
- The boat has lifejackets and harnesses for everyone
- Sailing boots
- Deck shoes, plimsolls or trainers
- Suntan lotion and sunglasses
- Swimsuit (optional)
- Shirts, light weight or "Tee" shirts
- Warm comfortable clothing, eg. tracksuit etc.
- Fleece or warm jumper, warm jacket etc.
- Thermal underwear (depending on when you sail with us!)
- Several changes of socks
- Warm hat and gloves (again, depending on when you sail with us!)
- Lipsalve
- Insect repellant
- Seasickness pills if you want them
- Towel
- Toilet bag, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste etc
- Ladies; enough tampons etc
- Camera if you like, plus enough film
- Video camera if you like, plus battery charger (recharging can usually be done on board)
All in SOFT holdall or bag;- ABSOLUTELY NO hard suitcases, frame rucksacs etc.
The boat carries a small selection of beers, wines and spirits for purchase on board.
Please let us know if you are taking any medication and bring sufficient supply.
Please let us know of any special diets/allergies in advance.
Joining is normally at 3.00pm on the day of arrival. We have a regular berthing place, Bakar is not a large harbour and Bente is easy to find. Leaving is 10.30am.
Insurance.
We would suggest that you take out personal insurance to cover your personal belongings, your travel to and from Bakar, personal accident while ashore and in case of your cancellation.
